Community Services
  • Camp Blaze: A FREE, kid friendly summer camp for ages 5 - 10 designed to provide participants fire prevention/safety safety education. Register through the Town's Cultural & Recreation Services.
  • Can Recycling Program: Mooresville Fire-Rescue has several collection sites for cans. Proceeds are donated to the Firefighters Burned Childrens' Fund.
  • Citizens Fire Academy: A 10 week program that provides participants an inside view of all Mooresville Fire-Rescue's operations and capabilities. For ages 18 & up.
  • CPR Classes: Mooresville Fire-Rescue provides Heartsaver Basic CPR & AED for adults & infants class, quarterly, for ages 13 & up. Register through the Town's Cultural & Recreation Services.
  • Fill-the-Boot Campaign: Several times each year, Mooresville Fire-Rescue collects money through volunteer efforts to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
  • Mentoring Program: Mooresville Fire-Rescue sponsors an Explorer Program as well as ride-along opportunities. The department partners with local schools and the Iredell County Career Academy & Technical School for students internship opportunities.
  • Smoke Detector/CO Detector Installation: The department provides and installs smoke detectors and CO detectors, free of charge, to residents of the Town.
  • Weather Radio Program: Mooresville Fire-Rescue provides weather radios to Town businesses, churches, office buildings and other facilities where at least 50 people may congregate. Weather radios are also available for residents with a disability that may limit their ability for a timely response during an emergency.
