Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Mapping

The Planning Department provides Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping services to all departments within town government through the use of computer technology, ortho photography and land records. Through the use of GIS, the Town can create, store, manage, analyze and display a wide variety of data through the use of maps. GIS mapping services support all aspects of planning and decision-making for elected and appointed officials and other departments within the Town of Mooresville.

GIS services provide a resource for citizens and businesses as well. Verifying zoning, land use, watershed, voting and public safety issues are all valuable services the Planning Department provides through GIS services.
