Defense Training for Seniors
The Mooresville Police Department is offering Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) training beginning in March for men and women over the age of 65. The series is free and focuses on crime reduction strategies that seniors can use in their home and community. The training focuses on crimes specific to the senior adult population.
The RAD-Senior session will begin March 1 with classes being held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. The eight-class session will end on March 24. Although it is not required for participants to attend all eight classes, it is highly recommended.

Citizens Police Academy Rescheduled
Mooresville residents or business owners who are at least 18 years old are invited to participate in the Second Annual Mooresville Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy. The next session begins on Tuesday, March 9 for orientation. Classes will meet on consecutive Tuesday nights starting March 16 from 6:30 – 9 p.m. at the police department.

Boater Safety Class
The Mooresville Police Department is hosting a free Boater Safety Class on Saturday, February 13 from Noon – 6 p.m. at the Police Department, 750 West Iredell Avenue. Call 704-658-9016 for more information or to register.
