Bike Patrol

The Mooresville Police Department utilizes bike patrol officers in situations such as festivals, demonstrations and parades or locations that are crowded or congested. Also, the bike patrol is used for the detection of criminal activity. Officers volunteer for the assignment, receive specialized training and must complete a rigorous instructional course. The officers are assigned to bikes as part of a temporary detail or assignment.
