Requesting Police Services for an Emergency: 911
It is appropriate to call 911 for calls which involve a crime, accident or incident requiring a uniformed police officer to respond.

When requesting assistance from the Mooresville Police Department, callers should know that requests are prioritized ~ with emergency calls having priority over non-emergency calls. An officer will respond to your call as soon as possible.

When reporting a crime or other public safety concern, try to answer the following questions:
1. What is the problem?
2. Where is the problem?
3. Is it still happening (in progress)?
4. How many people are involved?
5. Are there weapons involved?
6. What do the people look like (sex, age, race, height, weight, clothing)?
7. Are there vehicles involved?
8. Can you describe the vehicle (year, make, model, color, license plate)?
9. Which way did they go?
10. What is your name, address and contact information?
