The Mooresville Recreation and Parks Department operates out of three locations to provide all Mooresville residents the opportunity to enjoy the facilities, leagues and programs. In addition, the department offers nine parks including seven tennis courts, eight outdoor basketball courts, six lighted ball fields and a gym for volleyball, badmittion and basketball. We also offer a wide variety of classes for youth and adults in athletics, creative arts and fitness.
The War Memorial and Winnie L. Hooper Community Center offer year-round programs for youth and adults, as well as summer youth programs. The War Memorial also houses various civic groups and community classes. Both centers are available for rental.
The new 60,000 square-foot Charles Mack Citizen Center is also available for rentals and has large and small meeting spaces for various functions and activities. The Center contains the Joe V. Knox Auditorium, which has a seating capacity of 235.

Movies on Main – August 27
On Friday, August 27 at 8:30 p.m., “Movies on Main” is at Bellingham Park for the showing of Disney’s “Finding Nemo.” (Rated G) The outdoor setting, larger than life characters on a 25’ screen, and surround sound will enhance the movie experience for all who attend.
