The Mooresville Recreation and Parks Department operates out of three locations to provide all Mooresville residents the opportunity to enjoy the facilities, leagues and programs. In addition, the department offers nine parks including seven tennis courts, eight outdoor basketball courts, six lighted ball fields and a gym for volleyball, badmittion and basketball. We also offer a wide variety of classes for youth and adults in athletics, creative arts and fitness.
The War Memorial and Winnie L. Hooper Community Center offer year-round programs for youth and adults, as well as summer youth programs. The War Memorial also houses various civic groups and community classes. Both centers are available for rental.
The new 60,000 square-foot Charles Mack Citizen Center is also available for rentals and has large and small meeting spaces for various functions and activities. The Center contains the Joe V. Knox Auditorium, which has a seating capacity of 235.

Music on Main Concert Series – July 30
“Music on Main,” a free outdoor concert series, continues this month with “The Stranger,” on Friday, July 30. This six-piece band offers an authentic tribute to the music of the Piano Man, Billy Joel. Bring your family, friends and chairs to the Town Hall Lawn for this fun summer concert.
Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. No coolers are allowed. For more information, call 704-663-7026.
It's Pool Time!
The War Memorial Pool is open for the summer! Public Swim is offered daily from 1 - 5 p.m. for $3. Family Swim is offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 - 9 p.m. for $2. The pool is available for private rentals on the weekends. Call the Recreation Department at 704-663-7026 for more information.
