The Mooresville Recreation and Parks Department operates out of three locations to provide all Mooresville residents the opportunity to enjoy the facilities, leagues and programs. In addition, the department offers nine parks including seven tennis courts, eight outdoor basketball courts, six lighted ball fields and a gym for volleyball, badmittion and basketball. We also offer a wide variety of classes for youth and adults in athletics, creative arts and fitness.
The War Memorial and Winnie L. Hooper Community Center offer year-round programs for youth and adults, as well as summer youth programs. The War Memorial also houses various civic groups and community classes. Both centers are available for rental.
The new 60,000 square-foot Charles Mack Citizen Center is also available for rentals and has large and small meeting spaces for various functions and activities. The Center contains the Joe V. Knox Auditorium, which has a seating capacity of 235.

Mooresville Concerts: A Celtic Christmas
A Celtic Christmas returns to Downtown Mooresville on Saturday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Charles Mack Citizen Center when Mooresville Concerts presents The Beggar Boys.
Performing traditional and new carols and foot-stomping dance tunes from Ireland, Scotland and England, The Beggar Boys bring their energetic mix of Celtic traditional music styles to audiences young and old.
They will be joined by Irish step dancers from Charlotte’s Rince na h’Eireann School of Irish Dance. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and free for children under 10. A “Meet The Artists” reception will follow the concert. Tickets are available at the Charles Mack Citizen Center or the Town’s Recreation Department.
