Wastewater Treatment Plant
The Rocky River WWTP is an extended air facility rated at 5.2 MGD, it began operation in 1982. The influent flow to the facility is approximately 70% domestic ans 30% industrial. Two significant users; a brewery and a candy manufacturer comprise approximately 30% of the industrial flow. Aerobically digested solids are dried and buried onsite until 2001, since then all solids have been either land applied or hauled to the CMS landfill for disposal. We have had an excellent record of compliance over the past five years.
We are currently working with CH2M HILL and Town staff on plant expansion plans.
